Evaluation Before Treatment
We first work to understand your symptoms, history, examination findings, goals, and—when relevant—how your spine is functioning mechanically.
Individualized spine care in Irving, Texas.
At Strategic Spine Management & Chiropractic, we look beyond symptoms to understand what may be contributing to your problem, how it affects your daily life, and which treatment options make sense. Whether your condition is straightforward or complex, your care begins with an individualized evaluation—not a predetermined treatment plan.
Understand what we find. Discuss your options. Decide on the next step together.

We first work to understand your symptoms, history, examination findings, goals, and—when relevant—how your spine is functioning mechanically.
Not every patient needs the same treatment—or an adjustment. Care is based on what we find, your goals, and how you respond.
We track symptoms, function, and response to care so we can see what is helping and adjust the plan when needed.
When imaging, additional testing, or specialist care would help clarify the problem or change the plan, we help coordinate the next step.
WHAT WE HELP WITH
We help with everything from everyday neck and back discomfort and activity-related problems to injuries, persistent symptoms, and more complicated spine conditions. Every plan is based on what we find, your goals, and your progress.

FIRST VISIT
Our goal is to understand what is bothering you, explain what we find, and help you choose a next step that fits your needs and goals.
We take time to understand your symptoms, history, concerns, and goals before deciding what comes next. Your examination is based on the problem and may include movement, strength, neurologic function, orthopedic testing, spinal mechanics, or other relevant findings.
You should leave with a clearer understanding of what we found, what it may mean, and what options make sense.
Depending on what we find, the next step may include treatment, rehabilitation, home care, additional diagnostic testing, specialty care, or another appropriate option.

FAQ
Clear explanations for common questions so you can feel confident about your care and what to expect.
No. An adjustment is one treatment option, not an automatic part of every visit. Recommendations are based on your examination findings, goals, and what you are comfortable with.
We review your symptoms and history, perform an examination, and explain what we find. From there, we discuss the next step together. Treatment may or may not begin the same day depending on your findings and what is appropriate.
Usually not. If you already have imaging, bring the reports or let us know where it was performed. Additional imaging is considered when your history or examination suggests it may help answer an important clinical question or change the plan.
We will tell you. If additional diagnostic testing, specialist care, or another type of care would better address the problem, we will help coordinate the next step.
We evaluate spine-related problems after accidents and work injuries. Auto accident patients may schedule online using the dedicated Auto Accident / Personal Injury visit. Workers’ compensation cases are handled separately and should be reviewed by the office before scheduling.
Strategic is not currently in-network with routine commercial health insurance plans. Patients may use discounted self-pay through ChiroHealthUSA, which is a discount program rather than insurance. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we may provide an itemized superbill for possible reimbursement; reimbursement is determined by your plan and is not guaranteed. Medicare and workers’ compensation require additional scheduling review. Auto accident patients may schedule online using the dedicated Auto Accident / Personal Injury visit.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
If you are not sure whether Strategic is the right place to start, you can schedule a complimentary 10-minute phone call with Dr. Farmen.
This brief call is an opportunity to ask general questions about your situation, how we approach spine care, and what type of appointment may make sense. It is not a clinical examination or a substitute for an in-person evaluation.
Start by telling us what’s going on. We’ll listen, examine the problem, explain what we find, and help you decide what comes next.
