FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1Do I have to get adjusted?+

No. An adjustment is one treatment option, not an automatic part of every visit. Recommendations are based on your examination findings, goals, and what you are comfortable with.

2What happens at the first visit?+

Plan for about 60 minutes for your first visit. We review your symptoms and history, perform an examination, and explain what we find. From there, we discuss the next step together. Treatment may or may not begin the same day depending on your findings and what is appropriate.

3Do I need X-rays or an MRI before coming in?+

Usually not. If you already have imaging, bring the reports or let us know where it was performed. Additional imaging is considered when your history or examination suggests it may help answer an important clinical question or change the plan.

4What if chiropractic care is not the right option for me?+

We will tell you. If additional diagnostic testing, specialist care, co-management, or another type of care would better address the problem, we will help coordinate the next step.

5Do you treat injuries from car accidents or work injuries?+

We evaluate spine-related problems after accidents and work injuries. Auto accident patients may schedule online using the dedicated Auto Accident / Personal Injury visit. For Texas workers’ compensation claims, call first. Some non-network injured workers may choose an eligible treating doctor, but network status, existing treating-doctor arrangements, and any needed approvals must be reviewed before scheduling. Strategic is not contracted with a certified workers’ compensation health care network.

6Do you take insurance, and how does payment work?+

Strategic is not currently in-network with routine commercial health insurance plans. Patients may use discounted self-pay through ChiroHealthUSA, which is a discount program rather than insurance. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we may provide an itemized superbill for possible reimbursement; reimbursement is determined by your plan and is not guaranteed. Medicare requires additional scheduling review, so please call before scheduling if Medicare applies.
